Incorrect Tax Code

When my Sage package was installed, the default tax code for the VAT Control Account was set up as T6 instead of T9. How do I correct this please?

Change Default non-VAT Code

If I understand you correctly, this default code can be changed in the Company Preferences dialogue box -

Settings/Company Preferences/Parameters.
